Spokane City Council Candidates win key positions

Three candidates who received the endorsements of the Spokane Association of REALTORS® won two out of three seats on the Spokane City Council on election night – with the third in a closely contested race.

Jonathan Bingle – was a decisive winner in Spokane’s council district 1. His primary night victory carried through the general election. Following his victory, he reached out to SAR pledging to begin work on expanding housing opportunities in our region.

Betsy Wilkerson – running unopposed, Wilkerson has proven to be a key supporter of real estate issues. On election night, she told SAR “it’s time to get to work,” in reference to her eagerness to find housing opportunities in the Spokane area for all.

Mike Lish – A local business leader, owner of D’Lish Hamburgers, overcame a large primary deficit but ended up losing the general election by 262 votes.

The Spokane Association of REALTORS® continues to support candidates and issues that most closely align to our critical values and beliefs.
