Inland COVID-19 Response to host telephone town hall on Wednesday

Mayors Woodward and Wick, Commissioner French, and Dr. Lutz to host the call

The Inland COVID-19 Response team is hosting a community conversation on Wednesday evening to discuss how the region is handling the public health and economic emergency.

Dr. Bob Lutz, health officer for the Spokane Regional Heath District, Spokane Mayor Nadine Woodward, Spokane Valley Mayor Ben Wick, and Spokane County Commissioner Al French will co-host the telephone town hall beginning at 6 pm. Speakers will deliver brief opening remarks. The rest of the time will be dedicated to questions from the community. Speakers will answer as many questions as time allows in an hour.

Calls will go out to households from all over Spokane County inviting the community to stay on the line to join. Members of the community can also participate by calling 888-886-6603. Other local mayors, commissioners, and state legislators will also be available on the town hall.

The conversation will be broadcast live on City Cable 5 and on Facebook @SpokaneCOVIDResponse. Questions will be taken from callers and from Facebook (@SpokaneCOVIDResponse) and Twitter (@COVIDSpokane).

Hundreds of representatives from local governments and other agencies are working every day to respond and provide relief to impacts from efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Work groups are addressing needs associated with health, community care, first response, business, finance, transportation, supply, facilities, and contingency planning.

More information about COVID-19 resources is available at InlandCOVIDResponse.org. Daily updates are available on Facebook @SpokaneCOVIDResponse.
