Karene is a seasoned Realtor® with two decades of experience and over 500 transactions under her belt. As a Managing Broker in Washington and a Designated Broker in Idaho, she is responsible for overseeing almost 400 agents. She is also known for her unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity as well as dedication to professional development as Chair of the Professional Development Committee and as a licensed Real Estate Instructor in both Washington and Idaho where she teaches, coaches, and mentors agents through her real estate school, Soar Training. Outside of real estate, Karene has consistently supported local charities and initiatives, recognizing the importance of giving back to the neighborhoods she serves. Karene is a proud alumni of Eastern Washington University where she earned a master's degree in Public Relations and Organizational Communications and is also a proud supporter of Gonzaga University where she has completed courses towards a PhD in Leadership Studies.

Lee is an Army Veteran and Spokane native. After transitioning from the military in 2005, he and his wife moved back to the Spokane area and started a family. He attended Eastern Washington University and achieved his Bachelor of Arts degree, double majoring in International Affairs and Government. With a strong interest in wealth building, Lee obtained his Real Estate license and began the next chapter of life. He has since become the Managing Broker of 4 Degrees Real Estate and oversees over one–hundred agents. Lee uses his learned discipline and selfless service from the Military to guide and mentor his Realtor® colleagues. When he is not working with agents or investing in real estate, he, his wife and three children enjoy adventure.

With 37 years of living in the Spokane area, Jolene married & raised 3 children in this community. She has established deep roots locally and has a strong belief in giving back. Jolene has invested her time & resources into various community efforts. As a Real Estate professional for nearly a decade, not only does she cultivate relationships with clients, but also fosters positive changes within the industry. Always on the lookout for ways to improve, Jolene is committed to her community's growth & development beyond her own success. Jolene currently serves on the Budget & Finance Committee, Professional Development Committee, Windermere Foundation Committee, and the Spokane REALTORS® Board of Directors.

Now approaching his fourth year in Real Estate, Haydn has guided more than 100 families through Spokane's dynamic Real Estate market. As an active member of the Spokane REALTORS®, he currently serves as the Communications Chair and President for the Young Professionals Network. Haydn's background as an educator informs his approach to his clients, ensuring they are empowered with the knowledge they need to achieve home ownership. He leads by example by owning rental property and flipping to connect with his clients through shared experiences. Beyond his Real Estate career, Haydn enjoys playing in local bands and exploring new places with his Fiancée. As a candidate for the Board of Directors, he is committed to making a positive impact and driving the future success of the local association.

I am a full-time REALTOR® and have been in the business for just over 7 years. Real estate is my passion because I get to be the trusted advisor in helping my clients achieve their real estate goals, while also building a deep relationship with my clients. Real estate isn’t just about serving my clients; it’s also about serving my community and our industry. I currently serve as the local REALTOR® PAC trustee, which is a culmination of my love of real estate, politics, and serving others to make a difference. I love volunteering with our local, state, and national associations and being part of making a positive difference in the real estate industry. Outside of real estate, I love spending time with my boyfriend, our families and close friends. I am a huge dog lover; we have two dogs, Chloe and Nora. As an 18–year cancer survivor, I love being able to give back to others in their greatest time of need. When I was battling cancer, those people were essential to my survival and victory. I enjoy regularly volunteering at the Ronald McDonald house and cooking dinner for residents. I also love gardening, being outdoors, traveling, and creating and living a fulfilling life. Hello! My name is Katie McDaris Marks with EXIT Real Estate Professionals and I am running for re-election as a director for our board. I have been an active REALTOR® since 2004 and became active on many of the committees: Education, Special Events, Membership, Grievance, Professional Standards, Forms, and Communications at the Association for the past 19 years. I have been an active member of the Board of Directors and was the 2019 President of the Association. I was selected for a State Director position to represent the Spokane REALTORS® which led me to serve as the VP of Membership on the State Executive Committee. This has been very rewarding and I have learned so much about how our state board is ran. I have had the pleasure of being the past President for the Spokane Eastern Washington Women’s Council of REALTORS®. I’m originally from Guyana, South America and come from an Information Technology background. I’m a mom and grandma and love spending time with my family. When I’m not working on real estate, I like to garden and go on hikes. I serve on the Governing board of Women’s Council of REALTORS® Eastern Washington Spokane as 2024 Treasurer and past 2022/2023 First Vice President. I’m currently Chair for Spokane REALTORS® DEI Committee and have been a Technology committee member for the past 3 years. My name is Gaye Shumaker. 35 years ago, fresh out of college with an English degree, and dreading a life involving punching a time clock, I followed a friend to a Real Estate Licensing class. That day, I found my calling. After six exciting years with a Metzger Map and desk phone, I took a break to raise three kids & all their pets, and to volunteer for countless hours. Then, 18 years ago I made it back to my passion of real estate and every day is a surprise. I am a big picture thinker and I love strategy. Creating win-win situations, making friends, and constantly learning from new situations are some of the highlights of my career.
