REALTOR® of the Year Award:
Nominee must be a REALTOR® member of the Spokane Association of REALTORS®. Selection will be based on nominee’s contribution to the REALTOR® organization. Emphasis is placed on long term involvement with the Association to include committee activity, positions held within the Association and involvement with the State and National Associations.
Steve Flinn REALTOR® Achievement Award:
Nominee must be a REALTOR® member of the Spokane Association of REALTORS®. Selection will be based on nominee’s recent achievement and contribution to the REALTOR® organization. Emphasis is placed on significant involvement in specific programs or activities of the Association.
REALTOR® Community Service Award:
Nominee must be a REALTOR® member of the Spokane Association of REALTORS®. Selection is based on nominee’s involvement in the community. Emphasis is placed on REALTOR®s contribution in either the community’s civic affairs, community affairs, charitable organization or other activity that demonstrates a commitment to the community.
Affiliate of the Year Award:
This award is open to non-REALTORS® associated with the real estate industry such as employees of title companies, lending institutions, etc. Selection is based on nominee’s contribution toward (1) REALTOR® spirit; local Association activity (efforts to promote professional practices in dealing with REALTOR® and Co-Affiliates; Association and committee work, etc.); (2) Business accomplishments (services to REALTOR® clients, conduct of education sessions, dissemination of information etc.); (3) Courses attended and designations earned; (4) Civic and community involvement (participation in service clubs, charitable causes, political action, fraternal groups, etc.); and (5) Other accomplishments.
Partner of the Year Award:
Selection will be based on community affairs, support of REALTOR® issues and support of REALTOR® efforts overall.
Spokane’s Citizen of the Year Award:
Selection will be based on nominee’s contribution of service to the public, i.e., as a public official (elected or appointed), educator, business professional, philanthropist, etc.
THE HUGH HAWKINS AWARD
The Hugh Hawkins Award recognizes excellence in real estate teaching. It will be given to the instructor who best reflects the values and skills that Hugh Hawkins brought to the classroom and the industry. Accordingly, the Task Force will consider not just the instructor’s teaching style, but also the extent to which those nominated for the Award imparted information in a way that influences their students, i.e., the extent to which students were inspired to change their behavior and/or the way they do business as well as their commitment to SR Education.
THE EDDY AWARD
The Eddy Award symbolizes the importance of quality education by promoting REALTOR® professionalism at the local, state, or national level. Award winners could have contributed through committee work, course development, program development, teaching, assisting in course delivery, or other activities deemed appropriate that contribute to real estate education.
