The “repeat sales”
data indicates that homes were still appreciating compared to a year earlier
in Washington, but the apparent appreciation was near zero, and quarter to
quarter declines were prevalent. Data is for the 2nd quarter of
2008 compared to prior year. In our
region, Only Yakima had greater appreciation than Spokane, and Eastern
Washington clearly surpassed the Western part of the state. Coeur d’Alene prices as of the second
quarter were flat compared to a year earlier.
